A Simple Way to Holiness

We are Lismeth and Johnny, two Catholic laypeople whose shared journey of faith has drawn us closer to Jesus through the Eucharist, prayer, service, and a growing devotion to Saint Carlo Acutis. Inspired by Carlo’s simple and joyful witness, we created The Carlo Acutis Way to share practical ways of placing Jesus at the center of everyday life and to help others discover that holiness is possible for everyone, right where they are.

The Carlo Acutis Way takes a simple, practical approach to growing in holiness: keep Jesus at the center and live the faith in everyday life. Through accessible formation and creative resources, The Way seeks to help people of all ages encounter Christ, deepen their Catholic faith, and discover that holiness begins in the ordinary moments of each day.

The Carlo Acutis Way is rooted in the life of our parish community at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Redwood City. We work alongside and remain connected to the spiritual leadership of our parish, especially our pastor, Fr. Lu, with whom we share a vision of helping people encounter Jesus, deepen their love for the Eucharist, and grow in holiness through everyday life.

The Carlo Acutis Way was born within the faith community of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Redwood City, California.
As a Christ-centered and diverse Catholic community, Our Lady of Mount Carmel gathers in the Spirit to pray, celebrate the Sacraments, grow and learn in faith, serve one another, and share the Good News of salvation. Together, we seek to encounter Christ more deeply and help one another live our faith with joy and purpose.
Under the loving patronage of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, we seek to lead every generation closer to her Son — nurturing a community centered on the Eucharist and called to holiness in everyday life.
